“Fun Wedding Ideas”
Not just another Wedding Reception... this time, it's YOUR Reception! Over the years, we've collected ideas that we've come up with and Bride & Grooms have summized. The following represents our top 10 “Fun Wedding Ideas” for you to consider. Whether you book us for your Wedding Reception or not, we invite you to browse through and see if any of these ideas fit your style and tastes. And most important of all, we wish you a wondrous Wedding Day!

The Generations Dance (or Anniversary Dance)
The Generations Dance is a dance dedicated to all married couples attending your Wedding. The dance typically takes place earlier during the dancing portion of the Reception. Here's how it works:
- Invite all married couples to the dance floor for a slow song. The Bride and Groom can pick out the song; a few favorites are “Through The Years” by Kenny Rogers, “After All” by Cher & Peter Cetera, and “L.O.V.E.” by Johnny Mathis.
- Then after the song is over, ask the couples to stay only if they've been married at least 10 years.
- Then play another slow song, this time an older song like Elvis "Can't Help Falling In Love". During this 2nd slow song, politely ask couples to 'take a break' if they've been married less than 20, 25, 30, 35 years, ...etc... until you end up with the couple married the longest.
- Then, when the song ends, present them with a gift, like a bouquet of flowers.
The Snowball Dance
The Snowball Dance is a dance designed to mix and match couples and get them on the dance floor. The dance typically begins with the Bride and Groom and their Wedding Party and optionally their Parents as well. It commonly replaces the Wedding Party Dance or occurs right afterward. It can also take place after the cake cutting if the cake is cut later in the Reception. Here's how it works:
- Invite the Bride & Groom and whomever else is going to join them to begin the Snowball Dance to the dance floor. Ask each person to pick a guest and return to the dance floor with them.
- Start a song, typically a mid to uptempo song.
- About a minute into the song, ask everyone on the dance floor to pick another seated guest and return to the dance floor.
- Then one more minute into the song, ask them again to pick another seated guest and return to the dance floor.
- Typically, three to four times is all you need to fill the dance floor.
